North Perth offers a variety of courses for our community, businesses, service clubs and schools to meet the needs of our growing community and interests. Additional courses and workshops offered by North Perth instructors include; Infant/Toddler Basic First Aid and Choking Workshop, Grade 8 in-School CPR, Mental Health and Wellness Series.

This one day course offers basic first aid and caregiving skills for youth 11-15 years of age.

The Babysitting course, refreshed and revised, now has a greater emphasis on First Aid skills. The Canadian Red Cross Babysitting course covers everything from managing difficult behaviours to essential content on leadership and professional conduct as a babysitter. Babysitting promises to deepen and enhance the responsibility that older youth feel when caring for younger children. This updated curriculum, complete with new science, also provides improved learning when it comes to giving the appropriate care in the event of an emergency.

All participants will receive the Babysitter’s Manual and Completion Certificate.

Register for our fun, informative training session for ages 13 years or older where you will develop leadership skills and gain hands-on experience in a day camp setting. You will make new friends, gain self-confidence and develop leadership skills.

Counsellor’s-In-Training assist and learn the delivery of quality programs to the children in our Community. You will have a chance to practice your skills during a 2-week placement at our camps.

A certificate will be issued upon completion of all requirements. Class number is limited.

This safety program is for children aged 9-12 years old. Safety and accident prevention are the common themes throughout the program. The information is relevant and current to today’s young learners. Course content includes: Street smarts and bike safety, People safety (“Tricky People” and Safe strangers), Online and internet safety, Snacking and kitchen safety, Home fire safety, Sibling rivalry, Preventing accidents, How to handle emergencies and other situations, Basic first aid skills

The unique delivery model of our Home Alone Safety for Kids program reaches children of all learning-types. Innovative digital and traditional gaming techniques provide a fun and positive learning environment. Engaged participants learn valuable life skills to help them make safer choices when on their own.

All participants who attend our program in-class or through virtual sessions will receive the Home Alone Safety For Kids manual and certificate of attendance.

This workshop is a partnership between the Municipality of North Perth and EarlyON. 

This workshop is great for expecting parents, parents who have welcomed a new one to their family or grandparents who want to be prepared. You will be instructed by a certified Canadian Red Cross Instructor. Learn about what to do in case of an emergency. We will be covering topics such as Choking, CPR, and Basic First Aid.

We offer our Standard First Aid and CPR courses through a blended format. This consists of 8-hour online independent comprehensive study and 8-hour in class teaching and skills training. This is designed to develop and teach first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills and allow a participants to navigate the theory of First Aid at their own pace.

This course is designed for those who need training due to work requirements or who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home and in the community.

This course meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines.

All participants will receive the First Aid & CPR Manual and a Canadian Red Cross Profile with Certificate. *Organizations, Businesses, and Independent bookings welcome.
