    TAKE NOTICE a statutory public meeting is taking place to discuss a proposed Amendment Zoning By-law affecting the property described above. The application was deemed complete on February 25, 2025 pursuant to Section 34 (10.4) of the Planning Act in accordance with the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990. O. Reg. 545/06 s. 5

    Purpose and Effect: The application proposes to rezone the subject lands from Agriculture (A) to Special Agriculture (A-87) to permit the construction of a secondary farm occupation building of up to 600 m2 (6,458 ft2).  The site-specific zone will allow the owner to operate a wood drying kiln for forestry products.

  • North Perth Public Library Branch Refresh on the Horizon!

    After over 20 years, the Listowel Branch of the North Perth Public Library (NPPL) is getting a much-needed refresh! Say hello to a lighter and brighter space!

    Starting April 27 to May 8, local maintenance crews will be occupying the NPPL space to begin the rejuvenation process. This is the last and largest step of the North Perth Public Library’s branch refresh project starting in 2023. While the historical Carnegie portion will remain untouched, the addition built in the early 2000’s, is being brightened to improve visibility, create a more welcoming space and align with the library’s brand. Crews will be painting all walls of the 5500+ square foot space.

  • North Perth Initiates Mayor’s Budget Amendment

    North Perth, March 24, 2026 – Following Council’s endorsement on March 23, 2026, the Mayor has initiated a 2026 Budget Amendment under the Strong Mayor Powers framework in accordance with the Municipal Act, 2001.

    The amendment reflects updated cost information received after the budget was approved in December 2025. Key changes relate to externally controlled services, including the Ontario Provincial Police contract and the Maitland Valley Conservation Authority levy.

    TAKE NOTICE a statutory public meeting is taking place to discuss a proposed Amendment Zoning By-law affecting the property described above. The application was deemed complete on July 21, 2025 pursuant to Section 34 (10.4) of the Planning Act in accordance with the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990. O. Reg. 545/06 s. 5

    Purpose and Effect: The subject application is proposing to rezone the above-noted property from Residential Zone Four (R4) to Special Institutional Zone (IN-sp) to support an 80.32 m2 addition to the existing church. The site-specific provisions requested are required to reduce the front yard depth from 7.5 m (25 ft) to 3.04 m (10 ft), rear yard depth from 7.5 m (25 ft) to 3.65 m (12 ft) and interior side yard width from 4.5 m (14.7 ft) to 0.43 m (1.5 ft) for a one-storey structure.
