    Notice of Passing of a Zoning By-law

    TAKE NOTICE that the Council of The Municipality of North Perth passed By-law No. 53-2025 on the 26th day of May, 2025, under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, as amended (herein after called the “Act”). Council considered all written and oral submissions received on this application, the effect of which helped Council to make an informed decision.

    AND TAKE NOTICE that an appeal to the Ontario Land Tribunal in respect to all or part of this Zoning By-law Amendment may be made by filing a notice of appeal with the Clerk of the Municipality of North Perth either electronically via the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) e-file service (first-time users will need to register for a My Ontario Account) at https://olt.gov.on.ca/e-file-service or by mail, no later than 4:30 p.m. on June 19th 2025. The filing of an appeal after 4:30 p.m., in person or electronically, will be deemed to have been received the next business day. The appeal must set out the objection to the By-law, the reasons in support of the objection and must be accompanied by the appeal fee required by the OLT. The appeal fee can be paid online through e-file or by certified cheque/money order to the Minister of Finance, Province of Ontario. Additional information and forms can be found on the OLT website www.olt.gov.on.ca.

    PURPOSE OF APPLICATION: The purpose of the application for minor variance is to request relief from Section 10.7.6 b) of the North Perth Zoning By-law to reduce the minimum rear yard depth from 7.5 m to 4.3 m; relief from Section 5.18 to reduce the minimum parking requirements from 7 units to 6 units and relief from Section 5.1.3 (i) to permit an accessory residential structure (retaining wall) 0.47 metres (1.54 feet) from the rear yard where the by-law requires 1.2 metres (3.9 feet).     PURPOSE OF APPLICATION: The applicant is requesting relief from Section 25.2.3 of the North Perth Zoning By-law to reduce the required front yard depth in the General Industrial Zone (M2) from 9 m (30 ft) to 7.1 m (23.3 ft). The reduced front yard width will facilitate the expansion of the office area for the existing business.

    TAKE NOTICE a statutory public meeting is taking place to discuss a proposed Amendment Zoning By-law affecting the property described above. The application was deemed complete on April 8, 2025 pursuant to Section 34 (10.4) of the Planning Act in accordance with the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990. O. Reg. 545/06 s. 5

    Purpose and Effect: The subject application is being proposed to satisfy a condition for Consent File B06-25. The retained lot is to be rezoned from Agriculture Zone to Special Agriculture Zone (A-113) to permit a non-farm residential dwelling and associated accessory uses, buildings and structures and recognize a reduced rear yard depth of 5 m and a reduced interior side width of 3 m for the existing accessory structures.

    TAKE NOTICE a statutory public meeting is taking place to discuss a proposed Amendment Zoning By-law affecting the property described above. The application was deemed complete on April 7, 2025 pursuant to Section 34 (10.4) of the Planning Act in accordance with the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990. O. Reg. 545/06 s. 5

    Purpose and Effect: The subject application proposes to rezone a portion of the above-noted lands from Hamlet Village Residential (HVR) to Agriculture (A) and from Agricultural (A) to Hamlet Village Residential (HVR) to reflect the lot lines in severance application B30-24. The zone change will satisfy a condition of consent. 

  • Applications Now Open for 2025 Attainable Housing CIP Program

    North Perth, May 2, 2025 – The Municipality of North Perth is pleased to announce the opening of the Attainable Housing Community Improvement Plan (CIP) incentive programs for 2025. Now in its second year of implementation, the Attainable Housing CIP aims to minimize financial barriers to the creation of affordable and attainable rental housing in North Perth.

    The Attainable Housing CIP offers four incentive programs: Planning and Building Permit Fee Grant, Tax Increment Equivalency Grant, Additional Residential Dwelling Unit Grant, and Commercial and Rental Housing Conversion and Expansion Grant. Up to $100,000 in total funding is available in 2025 to be awarded to successful applicants.
